I'm looking to publish something from your collections, what steps do I need to take?

If you are looking to receive publication-quality images to publish, publication licensing fees are determined based on proposed usage and charged in addition to the handling and scanning fee. You would also need to obtain permission from the copyright holder, have them sign and return a Permissions from Copyright Holder form before we can release any documentation to you. Our records are fairly limited, so it is up to you to do a U.S. Copyright office search to determine who holds copyright on the items you are looking to publish and get their permission to use them.

Once copyright has been cleared, the University will draft a licensing agreement upon proposed usage for you to sign. Once we have received a signed copy, we can then have our director sign off and release those images to you.
